Alicia Keys offered a teaser of her new album during her set at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Friday night. The Grammy-winning songbird, dressed head to toe in black, debuted the uplifting piano-driven number “A Place of My Own” before the sold-out crowd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. She also played “Empire State of Mind Part II” at the piano, which had the crowd hopeful that Jay-Z would join her. But Alicia ended her set with no Hov cameo, only to return to perform “Empire State of Mind” with him. New York, meet Las Vegas!
Jay-Z closed the show with what could easily be called ‘The Best of Jay-Z’ – and the crowd was on it’s feet for the entire set. He brought down the house with an incredible high-energy medley, from ’99 Problems’ to ‘Encore,’ with Memphis Bleek joining him on stage.
