Digitaria, a leading digital marketing and technology agency has just begun a partnership with Grammy Award-winning musician and writer Alicia Keys on her most recent endeavor, I Am A Superwoman (IAAS.com). With the mission of utilizing content to empower women, Digitaria will help Alicia Keys create a site that aims to connect women with one another, continuing the inspiration Keys learned from her mother and grandmother.
“I just want to continue that legacy, you know, of compassion, and of service, and of really being like someone that people can relate to, and can understand and say, ‘You know what? She’s just like me. And if she can do it, I can do it,’” Keys said. ” And we can all kind of figure this out.”
In order to fulfill the site’s goal, IAAS.com needed a Head Blogger to be the voice of the site to create and maintain inspiring content. To fill this prestigious position, AK Worldwide, Keys’ company, conducted a nationwide job search. Entering into a co-branded partnership with Monster.com, the campaign leveraged the Monster Job Search Engine and Resume Submission Services.
Digitaria played an integral role in the marketing of the Head Blogger campaign, creating and developing landing pages that fully demonstrate the power of the Alica Keys brand while driving Head Blogger applications. Digitaria built an extensive search engine optimization campaign to drive traffic and applications, developed email marketing pieces to retain the site’s audience, created a contest and quiz to build engagement with the Alicia Keys brand and leveraged social tools to extend engagement beyond the site. Additionally, Digitaria developed creative components that were leveraged on all of the Alicia Keys social channels. This elicited a massive response in a short 5 week window with over 8,500 job applications for the Head Blogger position, and approximately 300,000 visitors to the Job Posting.
In order to properly assess the resume submissions, Keys’ handpicked a Selection Committee for the review process. The Committee included Keys’ Mother, Terria Joseph and Monster’s Executive Vice President, Ted Gilvar, along with Digitaria Account Strategist Gretchen Cordova. Cordova traveled to New York City where she assisted in interviewing the final 10 applicants for the Head Blogger position.
The AK Worldwide Committee has selected the top three job candidates, who will be flown to London on May 27th to see Alicia Keys live in concert at the KCA Blackball and have their own face-to-face interview with Keys. The Head Blogger will be announced on June 25th.
“Alicia Keys is both a talented and ambitious woman,” said Cordova. “We are thrilled to work with her on such an inspirational project. We are excited to see the end result.”
